CLiP Part Two - Face-to-face visit (CLiP 2F)

CLiP 2F is a three-hour visit, carried out in the student’s practice, with five tasks, four of which are assessed. This includes:

  • a complete eye examination, with a supplied presbyope patient
  • a specialist dispense

The review of logbook and patient records will focus on diagnosis, management and referral supplemented by unfamiliar clinical images to explore the student’s ability to undertake effective clinical decision-making.

The student and Assessor will also discuss the student’s learning and development, with reference back to a revised Personal Development Plan developed by the student based on feedback from the last visit. A final discussion of the student’s experience of the placement setting and supervision will complete the visit.
